The Vietnam Record Organization has just awarded a certificate for the highest Buddha statue in Vietnam to the Amitabha Buddha statue in Tong Lam Lo Son Pagoda, Vinh Phuong Commune, Nha Trang City.

Created in March 2009 and opened in April 2012, the giant concrete statue is 44.8m high, designed by Sculptor Thuy Lam and Engineer Le Dong Thuyen (Ho Chi Minh City) at a total cost of over VND6.5 billion.
The statue is twice as high as the white Buddha statue in Long Son Pagoda, Phuong Son Ward, Nha Trang City.
