From the 3rd day of the lunar New Year, Nha Trang has been crowded with domestic and international tourists. Plenty of travelers have flocked to Nha Trang to soak in the spectacular scenery and Vietnamese traditional culture.
Tourism boom
Long Son Pagoda, Ponagar Temples, etc have been among the most-crowded tourist destinations during Tet holiday.

According to the data released by Khanh Hoa Provincial Vestige Preservation Center, on February 9-12, Ponagar Temples received 28,000 arrivals, including 22,000 pilgrims, a 30% year-on-year increase. Over 4,000 visited Hon Chong Tourist Site during the first 3 days of the lunar New Year.
Tourists to Nha Trang Center, Vinpearl, Wonderpark and Champa Island Tourist Site have also increased significantly from the 2nd day.
During the first days of the year, Wonderpark receives some 1,000 visitors/ day, Champa Island Tourist Site, Orchid Stream, Monkey Island 2,000 visitors/ day. Most of the tourists are from Nha Trang City and Ho Chi Minh City.
Nguyen Phi Truong, director of Yang Bay Tourist Site says, from the 2nd to the 4th day, Yang Bay Tourist Site received some 6,000 arrivals, mostly Russian people, a 50% year-on-year increase.
Tran Dang Quang, CEO of I-Resort says the resort has served 9,000 so far during the festival.
Traditional activities attract visitors
During the lunar New Year holiday, many traditional activities have been held, such as an old scholar offering letters at Ponagar Temples, says Ngo My Chau, the Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Vestige Preservation Center.

Vinpearl Land, a popular tourist destination in Nha Trang, is also attractive with folk games and music.
A Dutch man named Visser says, “I visited Vinpearl Land on February 12. I could learn Vietnamese New Year culture through interesting folk games.”
Orchid Stream and Monkey Island where visitors can see and take part in folk games, including swinging, throwing a sacred ball through the ring, picking luck, etc have become great New Year getaways.
Vo Phuong Nga, a sales employee of Champa Tourist Site, says tourist arrivals have climbed significantly compared with last year, thanks to its rustic rural food area.
A famous Vietnamese comedian Tan Beo says, "The unique atmosphere similar to that in Binh Quoi, Ho Chi Minh City, offers distinct experiences that will entice any travelers."
