Despite the economic downturn, the number of domestic tourists in the first six months grew well and the number of international tourists kept the growth.
Specifically, the number of international tourists to Vietnam in the first six months hit 3.5 million, 2.6% up and the figure of domestic tourists was 24 million, 12% up. The 6-month turnover of the whole country reached VND105,000 billion, increasing by 23.5% over the same period of last year.
Some strong tourist cities are Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Nha Trang and Da Nang.
