A delegation including 12 representatives of Russian travel companies from Moscow has recently made a famtrip to Nha Trang, which creates a good opportunity for the coastal city to attract more high-spending tourists from Russia.
In April, 2013, the Vietnam national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines opened a direct air route connecting the Russian capital Moscow and Vietnam’s central coastal city of Nha Trang. The route with one flight per week has got intial success with averagely 87% of the seats filled on each flight. Accordingly,Vietnam Airlines plans to run two flights a week in October. To prepare for the increase, the air firm invited a famtrip delegation from Russian travel companies to survey to operate interesting tours for Russian tourists from Moscow, whose number is forecast to rise sharly. “Companies invited to this famtrip major in operating tours for high-class tourist”, revealed Nguyen Huu Tung, general manager of Vietnam Airlines office in Russia.

During the 4-day visit to Nha Trang, the famtrip members were introduced tourist products of Nha Trang such as sea – island tourism and mud bath. To have real experience, they used services in Egg Mud Bad, Thap Ba Hot Spring and I-resort Nha Trang. They also visited some high-class resort, namely Diamond Bay, Vinpearl and Amiana. Especially, they had a meeting with the local authority and many other tourist businesses to have a comprehensive view about tourist market in Nha Trang. The famtrip left most of them good impression in Nha Trang and they showed a desire to bring their tourists to the beautiful city.

“I’ve been heard a lot about Nha Trang but when seeing your city with my own eyes, I’m very surprised. The very beautiful beach with clean water, high-class and professional tourist products and the people’s hospitality win my heart. After the trip, I decide to step up bringing my tourists to this destination”, said Nataliya Rotmistrova, marketing director of Solvex Company.
“Nha Trang makes me much impressed and other members in our group think so. After the famtrip, we have new partners who are tourist businesses in Nha Trang. We will link to operate attractive tours for our Russian guests. In my opinion, Nha Trang can meet requirements of high-spending tourists”, said Zykova Anna, Sales Manager of Global Service Travel One.
