With ideal conditions for tourism, Nha Trang is attracting tourists from Hong Kong . Travel firms along with the national air carrier and the local authority are stepping up cooperation to bring more tourists from Hong Kong to Nha Trang.

Hong Kong is among top 35 countries and territories having the biggest numbers of travelers in the world. Hong Kong people often travel in small groups and spend much on shopping. A traveler from Hong Kong is estimated to spend about 3,000 Hong Kong dollars (equal to VND7.5 million) a day. Additionally, Hong Kong travelers like to discover culture, custom and spirit of people in the land where they come.

The number of travelers from Hong Kong to Nha Trang has seen an increase since 2011 when the Hong Kong - Nha Trang international yacht race was held for the first time. Specifically, Nha Trang received 6,984 tourists from Hong Kong and the figure has reached 7,500 so far this year. Advantages of Nha Trang like nature, climate, people, tourist products and the stable security are highly appreciated by Hong Kong travelers.

More Hong Kong people know about Nha Trang after Hong Kong - Nha Trang international yacht race.

Recently, Smileviet Joint Stock Company of Hanoi has invited JJ Explorer Tours Limited Company, a big travel firm from Hong Kong to make a survey in Nha Trang and then make a plan to bring Hong Kong tourists to the coastal city.

"During the trip to Nha Trang, I see that the city is very beautiful. Hotels and tourist spots here are so good. I want to bring tourists from Hong Kong and believe that they will satisfy with this destination like me", David Leung, director of JJ Explorer Tours Limited Company.

To support the cooperation,  Vietnam Airlines will have charter flights from Hong Kong to Nha Trang from November, 2013 to March 3, 2014. "Nha Trang is a significant destination of Vietnam Airlines, we appreciate the cooperation with JJ Explorer to bring more tourists from Hong Kong to Nha Trang by charter flights. It may open a chance for a Hong Kong - Nha Trang direct route in the future", said Ngo Van Xuan, head of Vietnam Airlines' Nha Trang branch. This is also a chance to expand the market of international tourists to Nha Trang.

 "Attracting international tourists is a significant duty of Khanh Hoa Province 's tourism. Hong Kong is a promising market to Nha Trang. The city has full of facilities to satisfy various demands of the tourists. The big hotel system in Nha Trang, including 15,000 rooms with 4,000 at 3-5 star standard, along with many diversified tourist spots and cultural and spiritual spots are very suitable with hobbies of Hong Kong tourists", said Truong Dang Tuyen, the director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
