Thai low-cost airline Nok Air on September 26 announced plans to expand its international flight routes, including Vietnam as a new destination.
The two routes to be opened are Bangkok – Hanoi and Bangkok – Ho Chi Minh City and the flights are planned in 2014.
Currently, there are two low-cost airlines running flights between Thai and Vietnamese cities, including AirAsia and VietJet Air. Larger national airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Thai Airways International, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines also service the route.
