The visa exemption agreement for ordinary passport holders signed between Vietnam and Myanmar will take effect on Oct.26.

The agreement exempts citizens of the two nations who hold ordinary passports valid for at least 6 months from entry, exit and transit visas up to 14 days of stay in each other's territories. Those who want to stay for more than 14 days have to apply for a visa.
