In addition, popularization and promotion in the country to raise awareness of protecting the tourism environment and behaviour to tourists will be paid attention. By 2020, 3 - 5 tourism events will be organized each years in localities with tourism potentials. The program also mentions coordination with 15-20 big domestic communication agencies to popularize tourism.

To reach the above targets, the country needs to step up popularizing Vietnam’s tourism abroad such as introducing destinations, joining international tourist fairs, conferences and seminars, advertising on big magazines, TV channels and panels, inviting travel firms and foreign media to make surveys on destinations and linking national and local tourism promotion units with each other.

Beside this, tourism promotion in domestic market will be forwarded with many actions such as organizing the national tourism year, big cultural, sports events, workshops and seminars, advertising tourism on media and many others.

Another focus of the program is developing online marketing and producing publications to support tourism popularization.

The Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to build management and directing policies to realize the program.
