Vietnam ranks the second in Asia in tourism potential, said new findings in The World Travel Market Industry Report 2013, basing on a survey on over 1.200 senior travel executives from around the globe.
Asia is clearly the continent with the greatest travel and tourism potential. China leads the way due to its 1.354 billion people, followed by Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Cambodia and the Phillipines, Senior Director World Travel Market, Simon Press said.

The latest UNWTO figures for the first six months of 2013 show Asia outperforming other regions. Globally, international visitor numbers for Asia and the Pacific saw a year-on-year increase by 6% as a whole, with Southeast Asia up by 12% and South Asia by 7%.
