Christmas this year fell on the working day, so the number of domestic tourists traveling to Nha Trang on this occasion is not much. Meanwhile, this is the peak time of Nha Trang to welcome foreign tourists. Accordingly, many 3-5 star hotels in the city are always full of foreign guests during the season.
Most of the guests these days are from countries in frozen winter like Russia, Germany, England, the US, China, etc. They travel to Nha Trang to avoid coldness. Their tours were booked in advance via travel firms or online.

“Year-end time is the busiest time of hotels when welcoming a large number of guests who travel on their Christmas and New Year vacation. Especially, rooms and Christmas party have been full”, said Le Khanh Ngoc, Marketing agent of 5-star Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel.
Le Thi Thanh Van, Marketing agent of two luxurious resorts Ana Mandara and Six Senses Ninh Van Bay added, “Christmas is very important to Western people. They save much time and money for Christmas. Therefore, our two resorts always prepare the best for them on this special occasion.”

Saying about the reason she has chosen Nha Trang to spend Christmas, Russian tourist Tarasova Elena shared, “Our country is extremely cold this time but in Nha Trang, the weather is very nice. We can wear summer clothes to stroll downtown, do shopping and enjoy food in streets on Christmas. How wonderful a tropical Christmas!”
Odwyer Paul, an Australian tourist, confided about his feeling, “Before coming to Nha Trang, I don’t think I will have such a Christmas. The city has surprised me with beautiful and sparking decorations, Christmas symbols familiar with me like Christmas trees, Santa Claus, reindeers, etc. I feel a real Christmas. My family has a right decision to travel here.”

Beside enjoying an ebullient Christmas on colorful streets, many foreign tourists spent a warm Christmas like in their home countries at Christmas parties inside Nha Trang's hotels. Towards foreign tourists, the parties had European styles with a lot of many traditional Christmas dishes such as turkey, pate, salted pork, grilled meat and many kinds of Christmas cakes. Popular dishes in the world such as goose liver, lamp, grilled beef and so on were available to serve foreigners. Moreover, tourists spent a warm Christmas Eve with Christmas songs, Santa Clause and funny games during Christmas party.
