The 9-day Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday is a good time to take tours to new lands. Travel firms have launched a lot of tours departing from Nha Trang for the locals to spend Tet by traveling.
. Domestic tours sell well
In the situation of economic difficulties, making domestic tours has been chosen by most travelers on their coming holiday. Branches of some big firms like Vietravel and Saigontourist have reported satisfactory figures of domestic travelers during Tet. For example, Saigontourist has sold out tours from Nha Trang to Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot, Da Nang and Hanoi on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th days of the first lunar month (February 2 – 5). Tours to the North are best sellers as many locals desire to have a different Tet atmosphere. To make the tours more attractive, Saigontourist adds some new destinations to their tour itineraries.
Similarly, Vietravel – Nha Trang Branch sees a sharp increase in sales of domestic tours, over 70% of which are booked. The firm has two domestic tours departing from Nha Trang, including Hoi An – Da Nang – Hue – Dong Thien Duong and Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Can Tho – Chau Doc – Tinh Bien.
In many travelers’ view, buying tours helps them be guided well and not worry about accommodation as well as transport.

. Many promotional programs for outbound tours
Beside domestic tours, the travel firms have some outbound tours departing from Nha Trang. Saigontourist offers two tours, including Malaysia – Singapore and Thailand. These are the main tours of Vietravel beside tours to Japan and Korea. With such tours, travelers will fly from Cam Ranh International Airport (Nha Trang) to Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) and then take an outbound flight. Along with the tours departing from Nha Trang, the big firms have a lot of tours departing from Ho Chi Minh City to many countries such as Cambodia, Hong Kong, China, Australia and the Europe.
Because the economic difficulties, outbound tours on this Tet holiday see a 10% drops in sales, reveals Doan Hai Quan, Vietravel – Nha Trang Branch manager.
To stimulate sales, travel firms have launched a lot of offers. For instance, Saigontourist discounted VND 1 – 4 million on prices of tours to Thailand, Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Australia. Tour buyers also have an opportunity for some prizes worth up to VND100 million. Meanwhile, Vietravel gives discounts up to VND600,000 on tour prices till March, 10. Additionally, there is a prize of a Vespa motorbike each week for a lucky client.
