Spring Flower Festival Nha Trang 2014 will take place at Yen Phi Park and Chidren’s Park from January 23 to February 4 for locals and tourists to enjoy and purchase.
The festival will display a lot of ornamental creatures, including fine-arts dried plants, stones, orchids, bonsai of many sizes and Bulbul birds.

Bulbul bird competition is a new feature of the spring flower festival this year. According to Chairman of Nha Trang Bulbul bird society Ta Chan Thuc, nearly 250 members of the society and over 500 collectors in Nha Trang are very eager to joy the event. In some recent years, collecting Bulbul birds has become a hobby of many people in the Central provinces. Particularly in Khanh Hoa, there are more than 1,000 Bulbul bird collectors.
Nha Trang now has 10 big Bulbul bird clubs. Each club will send 5 best birds to the competition. From 8 am, February 3, the 50 birds of Nha Trang and 50 ones from other provinces will take a singing contest.
At the spring flower festival, Ninh Hoa Town and Cam Ranh City also have stores to display their local ornamental creatures.
About 4270 sq.m. of the two above parks along with some nearby streets will be used to set up space for the festival.
The opening ceremony will be held at 7pm, January 23. Following will be final contests of bonsai (January 26), fine arts dried plants (January 27), ornamental stones (January 29), orchids (January 30) and Bulbul birds (February 3).
The organization board will grant 8 first prizes, 8 second ones, 8 third ones and 16 consolation ones for excellent works.
The spring flower festival will close on February 4.
