Khanh Hoa Province is specified as a main point of tourism att a conference on tourism cooperation among 14 provinces and cities in the Central and the Highlands to confide potentials and find out effective tendencies.

At the “Scientific conference on tourism development for the Central Coastal Region and Highlands” held in Phan Rang City recently, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam appreciated that the Central Coastal Region and Highlands have big potentials in tourism with the advantages of sea and islands. The land from Thua Thien Hue to Binh Thuan has a range of attractive beaches as well as islands and bays with natural beauty. Meanwhile, the Highlands have a rich natural resource with mountains and forests intermingled with plains and valleys by rivers, streams, waterfalls, etc.

Besides, the Central Coastal and the Highlands feature original culture and history with a lot of relics and festivals.

Khanh Hoa is a main tourist center in the region of Coast Central and the Highlands. During the past years, the province’s tourism has made stable growth. The province has attracted a large number of foreign tourists. In the first six months of 2014, Khanh Hoa receives 1.65 million tourists, a 22% increase year-on-year.

In recent time, the Coast Central and the Highlands have taken more care to cooperation to diversify tourist products. Khanh Hoa Province now has tours linking the province with the mountainous provinces Lam Dong and Dak Lak.

However, the provinces should do more close cooperation for a stable development. To promote the cooperation, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam noted the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism to make long-term development strategy for tourism.
