Vietnam has received 6,608,391 foreign visitors during the past ten years, increasing by 8.0% over the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office. Of the figure, 3,994,609 visitors are tourists, 6.5% up; 1,109,116 came for business, 8.3% up; 1,133,785 visited their relatives, 11.4% up; and 370,881 came for other purposes, 13.4% up.
The number of domestic tourists in the ten months were 34.4 million, a year-on-year rise of 7.5%.
The 10-month total turnover from tourism hit VND195,000 billion, 17.8% up.
