Tourism turnover of Khanh Hoa Province in the past 11 months has reached VND5,552 billion , exceeding the year’s target. The province has achieved a success beyond expectations.
According to the latest report on tourism by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, tourism turnover of the whole province for 11 months hit VND5,552 billion, exceeding 10% over the year’s target of VND5,000. In compasirion with 2013, the highlight year of tourism turnover (VND3,951 billion), the figure in 2014 has gone beyond expectations of tourist doers in the province with a growth rate of 40%.
Another remarkable figure is the number of guests in 11 months, which hit over 3.3 million (fulfilling 97% of the year’s target), including 770,000 international ones. To satisfy the increasing tourists, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa has focused on improving and diversifying tourist services.

According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, tourism of the province in 2014 has met a lot of difficulties as few big events were held and China’s illegal oil rig placement in Vietnamese waters made the number of foreign arrivals drop. However, the tourism of the province has still gone rightly. Tourism promotion of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa has done well. A lot of activities such as welcoming international press delegations to survey the local tourism, joining tourism fairs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, popularizing the local tourism to Russia, England, etc.
In addition, many hotels and resorts such as Sunrise, Vinpearl Luxury Nha Trang and Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, have been given honorable international awards. Also in 2014, more 4 – 5 star hotels have been newly built and put into operation. Some enterprises, namely Anex and Nhat Minh, have joined to operating tours to bring Russian tourists to Nha Trang. In early November, Transaero Airlines officially opened direct flying route from Moscow to Cam Ranh International Airport of Khanh Hoa.
Especially, many high-class tourist products have been opened to attract high-spending tourists. With active efforts, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa has got the better in the high-spending tourist market of other provinces.
