From early December, big hotels in the city have launched activities toward Christmas. Sheraton Hotel Nha Trang started the Christmas season with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on December 5 right at its lobby. The hotel has also set up a ginger cake house by its big Christmas tree to sell cakes for guests.

Novotel Nha Trang also organized a Christmas tree lighting ceremony impressively with music performance of children from Khanh Hoa Provincial Education and Rehabilitation Center for Handicapped Children. The hotel has been decorated splendidly with numerous sparkling lights.

Sunrise Hotel marked lighting Christmas tree by a music show attended by in-house guests. The hotel also will hold a Christmas feast with a lot of European – Asian dishes and gifts for children from Santa Claus.

In its Christmas season, InterContinental Hotel Nha Trang will have a special feast with Christmas dishes and jazz music show, served by the staff  in costumes of Santa Claus and Snow Princess.

Michelia Hotel on December 24 also has a Christmas party, where Santa Claus will appear suddenly to give Christmas gifts to children.

. Charity activities in Christmas season

Christmas season also is the time for hotels to show their care to the community. Beside creating a opportunity for unlucky children of Nhan Ai Orphanage in the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, Sheraton Hotel will raise all the money earned from selling souvenirs to the orphanage. Similarly, Novotel held a Christmas cake sale for charity to support handicapped children. The hotel also sells gold baubles hanging on the Christmas tree visitors to Novotel Nha Trang during this Christmas season to raise fund for Smile Group, a charitable organization helping children affected by HIV/AIDS in Vietnam.

“This is the first time I’ve come to Nha Trang in Christmas season. You have created a wonderful Christmas atmosphere for tourists. I also feel your kindness to unlucky people through meaningful actions”, said Joanne Thomas, an Australia tourist.

Sunrise Hotel organized a smile day for 200 children from charity houses in the province. The program featured a lot of activities such as fair, music performace, fashion show, gifts from Santa Claus, sale of handicraft products and visits to charity houses. Raju Nair Kurup, manager of the hotel, said, “This event aims to give the unlucky children happy moments.”
