. Sharp decrease in situation vendors following tourists
Under the strict control, the situation vendors trying to invite travelers to buy goods with insistence have been lessened deeply.
A tourist from Ho Chi Minh City named Huynh Le Diem, said, “Visiting Nha Trang this time, I haven’t been followed and bothered by vendors any more. I met some vendors but their sales manners was polite.” “Among many places I’ve traveled to, Nha Trang and Da Nang have least solicitation. The Vanguard Youth force constantly patrol Nha Trang beach, which makes tourists feel safe”, said Nguyen Van Hoang, a tourist from Hanoi.

According to Phung Sam, leader of Nha Trang Vanguard Youth Team, under the direction of the city People’s Committee, the team always keep watch on the beach with one every distance of 150m – 200m to keep security for tourists. In addition, the team also use loudspeakers to warn locals not to violate regulations.
Reportedly, the city People’s Committee has adopted a project to ensure social security for tourism activities in the city, which includes some measures such as building roads without peddling, intensifying patrol on the beach, etc.

In year-end months of 2014, Nha Trang tourism scoring more good points in tourist’s view by helping tourists across street on seaside Tran Phu Street. With this help, foreign tourists can cross the street easily and safely. The useful action with and enthusiasm and politeness of guiders has brought a good image and satisfaction for tourists.
Pham Trung Cuong, a member of Nha Trang Vanguard Youth Team, guiding tourist across street at T-junction of Tran Phu Street and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, said, “Everyday, we do our job from 7:30 to 11:30 and 13:30 to 17:30. We are very happy to help tourists cross the street safely. Receiving hundreds of thank-yous in many foreign languages a day, we seem to forget all tiredness.”
According to Nguyen Khac Ha, Vice-chairman of the city People’s Committee and Steering Committee Head of Tourism Security Project in Nha Trang, this measure aims to partly ensure safety for locals and tourists, reinforcing the civilized and friendly image of Nha Trang. The act has received supports from locals and tourists.
