To confirm the position of a key industry in Khanh Hoa Province, tourism enters the new year 2015 with new headings to reach targets.
In 2014, the whole province received 3.6 million tourists, including 855,803 international ones. In general, the province has still maintained a stable number of domestic as well as international visitors. In 2015, the province’s tourism targets at 4 million tourists, including 1 million international ones. One of measures to fulfill the target is expanding new markets along with promoting existing markets and domestic markets.
Actually, expanding new markets in the province so far has been done ineffectively. Therefore, a comprehensive measure to promote the image of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa tourism is very necessary now. “The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Tourism Association need to find out effective solutions to exploit new markets, especially highly spending tourists”, Pernament Vice-chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Son Hai demanded.

The province also strives for a tourism turnover of VND6,500 billion in 2015. It’s a challenge as the domestic and global economies are still in difficulties.
In 2015, there will be a lot of big events, especially the Sea Festival in July, and many long holidays. They are expected to partly draw a large numbers of visitors to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa. Also this year, more 4 – 5 hotels will be put into operation. Many luxurious resorts in Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Area also will be built and opened. Nha Trang Port, under the province’s management, will facilitate tourist activities on Nha Trang Bay and cruise tourist welcome.
Besides, the province will also pay attention to upgrade quality of tourist products, and launch new services to meet demands of different tourists. Security for tourists also has to be ensured to create the civilized and friendly image of the land. For the firm development of tourism in the province, Pernament Vice-chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Son Hai asked the provincial authorities at levels and industries to improve the investment and business environment for tourist enterprises, and intensify propaganza and dialogue with them…
