During the Lunar New Year holiday (from 18 to 23, February), Nha Trang welcomed 145,724 tourists, including 32,258 international ones. The number of stay days was 320,540. The total turnover from tourism was VND268.9 billion. Before the Lunar New Year festival, room occupation rates were 70 – 80% to 4-5 star hotels; 60 – 65% to 3-5 star hotels; and 40 – 50% to 1-2 star hotels. During the holiday from the second day to the sixth day of the lunar year, 4-5 star hotels were full.
Some hotels received large number of visitors and high turnover, namely Vinpearl (3,370 guests, including 2,140 international ones; VND20.1 billion in turnover; room occupation: 80.5%), Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa (1,029 guests, including 778 international ones; VND9.4 billion in turnover; room occupation: 82%), Six Senses Ninh Van Bay (227 guests, including 164 international ones; room occupation: 85%), Mia Resort (200 guests, including 165 international ones; room occupation: 80%), Michelia Nha Trang Hotel (1,665 guests, including 198 international ones; room occupation: 80%), Novotel Nha Trang Hotel (2,620 guests, including 1,970 international ones; room occupation: 90%), etc.

Tourist spots attracting visitors during the holiday were Vinpearl Land (66,488 visitors; VND28 billion in turnover), I-Resort Nha Trang (18,000 visitors, VND2.9 billion in turnover), Thap Ba Hot Spring (16,000 visitors, VND1.5 billion in turnover), 100 Egg Mud Bath (10,000 visitors, VND2 billion in turnover), two tourist areas Monkey Island and Hoa Lan Stream (12,500 visitors, VND2 billion in turnover), Yang Bay Tourist Park (6,000 visitors, VND1.1 billion), Doc Let Tourist Area (7,500 visitors, VND900 million in turnover), etc.
Also on Tet, the provincial tourism organized a ceremony to welcome Silver Wind cruise ship with 480 tourists and crew calling at Nha Trang Port on the first day of the lunar New Year. At the same time, there were 63 international flights from China, Russia and Korea to Cam Ranh International Airport.
