From March 31, Vietnam Airlines applies new rates for prepaid baggage. Specifically, on domestic routes, the rate of VND80,000/block is applied for flights between Hanoi and Da Nang, Hue, Vinh City; between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, Hue, Buon Me Thuot, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Qui Nhon, Phu Quoc; between Da Nang and Nha Trang, Hai Phong. The rate of VND150,000/block is applied for flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Buon Me Thuot, Da Lat, Can Tho, Qui Nhon, Phu Quoc; between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong, Vinh City, Dong Hoi, Thanh Hoa.
Pre-paid baggage is available for passengers holding Vietnam Airlines tickets, except for infant under 2 years old. Pre-paid baggage can be purchased at least six hours prior to flight departure time at www.vietnamairlines.com or VN branch offices on/after March 31, 2015. Passengers can buy pre-paid baggage during booking processing or after successful payment. Pre-paid baggage will be sold in 5kg weight per block. Maximum 10 blocks (50kg) can be purchased per passenger. Pre-paid baggage is only valid for the passenger on the specific flight - which is paid for. Pre-paid baggage could not be endorsed, rerouted, refunded and/or exchanged to other services or tickets.
