Saigon Railway Corporation plans to operate more trains to meet the increased travel demand on the route Nha Trang – Ho Chi Minh City during the upcoming holidays, April 30 and May 1.
Specifically, starting from April 24 to May 3, 2015, trains from SN4/3 to SN10/9 departing from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang City and vice versa. Besides, new rail trips SQN4/3 Ho Chi Minh City – Quy Nhon and vice versa; N12/11 Nha Trang - Tuy Hoa and vice versa will be put into service. Meanwhile, more coaches will be connected to N12/11 trains to serve more passengers, says Le Hong Son, Deputy Director of Nha Trang Railways.
Reportedly, tickets for the trips from Chi Minh City to Nha Trang and from Ho Chi Minh City to northern provinces have been sold out. Some auxiliary seats are still available.
The Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR) has applied online ticket sale which is expected to make it easier for passengers to buy tickets, particularly during busy times, including holidays and Tet. Customers can buy tickets at Nha Trang Station or via the Internet.
Passengers are required to provide full personal information about names and identity card numbers
Besides, to prevent long wait for tickets at the station, Nha Trang Railway has two more ticket offices at An Binh (12A 2-4 Street), DoNa Décor (92 Hong Bang Street), Nha Trang City. In addition, tickets can be purchased or via the telephone: 058.3822113 with free delivery.
At present, the ticket price is down 10% on normal days and up 15-20% on holidays April 30 and May 1, mainly during the peak time from April 26 to May 3, 2015. The ticket change must be made at least 4 hours before the departure time. The change/return fee is 5% for tickets with its printed information matching with customer information or else, 30%.
The tickets for groups must be returned at least 24 hours before the departure time with the return fee of 10% of the ticket price. Tickets subject to change or return must have the same departure and arrival stations. The ticket return is allowed only once. The ticket return fee is VND10,000 and its holder has to pay applicable fare difference.
