Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has adopted a plan for Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2015.
Accordingly, the event is scheduled from 11 to 14, July with more than 60 cultural, arts, sports and tourism activities bearing features of the sea and islands. 2-4 Square will become the location of main activities, including the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony, street carnival, and international arts program.
The festival also comprises other arts programs (music, fashion, dancing and bai choi), exhibition of document about Spratly and Paracel, exhibitions of paintings, photos, handicrafts), workshop on Vietnamese sea – island culture, seminar on tourism and cuisine, fair, sea sport tournaments (volleyball, football, beach handball…). In addition, before the festival, there will be arts shows, Vietnam sea - island display, arts exhibition, sports tournament in cities, towns and districts in the province.

The Sea Festival 2015 is required to be eventful and attractive but economical with the State budget. As a result, the organization board is calling for sponsorship from enterprises, organizations, individuals for the activities, especially the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony and street carnival. At present, the organization board is discussing with well-know directors in Ho Chi Minh City to make the arts programs of the festival professional and high-quality, ensuring the trademark of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival.
Therefore, the festival this year will be shorter than previous ones but the number of events is ensured not fewer. The festival aims to introduce visitors about traditional and modern culture of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa. Visitors who come to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa on this time will have a chance to feel beauties of a peaceful land with hospitable people.
As planned, press conferences about the sea festival will be held in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang. The organization board also has entrusted Khanh Hoa Television to work with Vietnamese Television and Ho Chi Minh City Television to broadcast the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony and some other main activities taking place in 2-4 Square, Nha Trang. The provincial television also has been commissioned to a documentary film on Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival and a clip to introduce the Sea Festival 2015 on channels of VTV and VTC. Starting from April, press agencies of the province will open columns about the Sea Festival 2015 to popularize the event.
