Cam Ranh International Airport receives over 40 flights with nearly 4,000 passengers a day. The security personnel of the airport always work strictly to ensure the absolute security.
The staff are on duty all days and nights. “We receive many flights in a day, even in midnight, but we are never negligent in our work”, said Nguyen Thai Anh, working at the airport’s Security Department confided. Nguyen Tai Minh, head of the department said, “Sharp and pointed things such as knives and scissors are not allowed on plane. But, some people still take such things with them. We also often meet many other similar circumstances and have to solve problems.”

To reinforce the security, Cam Ranh International Airport has close combination with the provincial Police, the Naval Zone 4, the Central Airport Authority in Cam Ranh, Cam Ranh Hospital and the local authority for opportune support when in need. Leaders of the airport also direct the staff to keep watch on the situation to ensure the security, build up methods to prevent acts of sabotage, terror, crime, social evils, etc.
In 2014, the staff of the airport took part in two manoeuvres of fire prevention and fight, rescue from danger and terror determent. The manoeuvres have intensified the coordination between the airport with other units and raised the profession of the airport’s security force. Order of taxis at the airport has been restored.
“Cam Ranh International Airport is under upgrade with an aim to serve 3 – 4 million passengers a year. We will continue training security force qualified for the larger scale of the airport”, said Nguyen Thai Hoa, deputy director of Cam Ranh International Airport.
