One-day experience
We came to Yen Sao wharf (near to Cau Da Port) at 7:30 am to start a tour to Dong Tam salangane island one day. Then, we traveled to Hon Mun to reach salangane caves. Going deep into the caves, we saw the birds flying above us and white bird nests sticking to cliffs. Nguyen Thuy Tram Anh, a tourist from Hanoi in our group, said, “This is the first time I’ve seen salangane nests in the nature with my own eyes. The tourist guide has also introduced me about how a salangane nest forms.”
After that, a glass bottom boat carried us to see corals. Then, we went to Dong Tam Tourist Site, the main destination of the tour. Located on Hon Tam Island, the tourist site features many service like diving, kayak, floating, etc.
We were carried back to land at 2 pm, and then we were taken to Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Material Processing Plant in Dien Khanh District. We were introduced about salanganes as well as the process and the way to exploit and process products of natural salangane nests. Especially, we were given a product for free. Next, we visited the place where salangane nests were refined in the plant. Then, we understood about the professional and strict production of Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company. Leaving the plant, we visited and bought products of the company at a showroom, 15B Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Nha Trang.

Unique tour in Nha Trang

In the trial time, the tour has attracted a number of tourists. Many travel firms have booked this tour for their tourists for the tour is unique. This has been the first tour carrying tourists to see the production of salangane nests, the speciality of the province.
