Vietnam Airlines on November 15 officially opened new domestic route Nha Trang – Hai Phong. The opening ceremony was attended by Le Thanh Quang - Central Party Committee Member, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Provincial People’s Council Chairman; Le Duc Vinh – Deputy Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Provincial People’s Committee Chairman; leaders of Vietnam Airlines and representatives of related departments.

As planned, initially the route will have 4 flights weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday with 184-seat Airbus A321 aircraft. It is expected to become daily route in 2016. The flight from Cam Ranh will depart at Cam Ranh International Airport at 8:20 and arrive Cat Bi Airport (Hai Phong) at 10:5. On the opposite, plane will leave Cat Bi Airport at 10:50 and land Cam Ranh International Airport at 12:35. Air fare is VND799,000/one way.
Nha Trang – Hai Phong is the 95th route of Vietnam Airlines. The new route is expected to create opportunities for exchange and cooperation between the two destinations, especially in tourism.
