In 2015, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa upheld safety and hospitality for tourists. Measures will be done more comprehensively in 2016 to ensure a good tourism environment.
Big problems solved
According to the provincial Tourism Development Steering Board, in 2015, problems of order and security in local tourism were solved. The provincial Police directed professional units and the local police force to master the situation, then prevent and fight with criminals in places like railways stations, ports, beaches, etc. Nha Trang People’s Committee launched the project to ensure order and security for tourist activities in the city for the period of 2013 – 2015. The city volunteer youth force and the police jointly patrolled to keep security and solve cases along the seaside parks on Tran Phu Street and Pham Van Dong Street. As a result, many thefts and mugging were prevented. In addition, the force helped tourists across road, which left tourists good impressions.

At big markets where many tourists go shopping, there are always pickets on duty to keep security for tourists.
Besides, the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also carried out measures to limit beggary in tourist destinations.
“With drastic measures of the local authorities, safety and security for tourists were improved in 2015. This made tourists as well as investors feel secure about the local tourism”, said Phan Thanh Truc, deputy director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Measures to be done comprehensively
For 2016, Permanent Vice-chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee Tran Son Hai, the head of the provincial Tourism Development Steering Board directed departments and localities in the province to continue measures to ensure security and safety for tourists.
Nguyen Sy Khanh, vice-chairman of Nha Trang People’s Committee, the city will finish the urban civilization. Accordingly, the city will set up models to ensure security and safety for tourists like civilized ports, civilized streets, etc, install security cameras at some key spots, upgrade radio broadcast system along Nha Trang beach, and so on. Beside, violations on security, environment, etc will be punished strictly. The provincial Police also have comprehensive measures to keep security for tourists as well as tourism in the province.
In general, Khanh Hoa Province determines to preserve the image of friendly and civilized tourism in the eyes of tourists.
