First charter flight on the direct route Cam Ranh – Bangkok in end December, 2015, has started opportunity to travel abroad at lower prices for people in Khanh Hoa Province and neighboring provinces.
This flight was jointly held by Tictours Travel, Long Phu Tourist Company, and Viet Laos Thai Tourist Service and Trading Joint Stock Company, carrying 180 passengers from Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, Thailand to Cam Ranh International Airport o take the tour Nha Trang – Da Lat 4 days 3 nights, and then carry 50 passengers from Khanh Hoa and neighboring province to Suvarnabhumi to take the tour of Bangkok – Pattaya 4 days 3 nights.

According to Nguyen Quang Thang, director of Tictours Travel, charter flight tours have been familiar in the world but still new in Vietnam. In tourism, acharter flight is for tourists of a travel firm. It is favorites of many tourists owning to their good prices. Organizing package charter flights, travel firms have low air fares from airlines, which lowers tour prices.
In the tour to Thailand, the tourists visited most famous destinations there. With the price of only VND6 million/person, it’s an interesting tour to domestic tourists. Nguyen Thi Xuan Lan, director of Golden Life Tourist Company said, “Tourists in Binh Dinh often fly to Ho Chi Minh City of Da Nang to take tour to Thailand. The new route Cam Ranh – Bankok, which takes only one hour, gives tourists more choice.”
As a passenger in this flight, Nguyen Van Thanh, permanent vice-chairman of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association commented, “The companies have professional coordination with each other, which facilitates tourists in transportation as well as travel. The service is good and price is reasonable. We expect and encourage companies to organize more charter flight tours to bring opportunities for people in Khanh Hoa and neighboring provinces to take outbound tours at good price.”
After the success of the first charter flight tour, Tictours Travel is planning for following flights with package tour price of VND6.5 million/passenger. The next flight will be launched in mid March. There also will be 2 more flights in April.
Beside Tictour, Vietravel also has charter flight tour of Nha Trang - Bangkok – Pattaya 5 days, departing on January 10 (the third day of the Lunar New Year) with package price of VND10,790,000. Reportedly, Vietravel has hired a 180-seat flight of Jestar Pacific for this tour. 50% of the seats have been sold in the first 10 days.
