Large-scale and high-ranking
According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa’s tourism has developed with depth as many large-scale hotels, restaurants and entertainment spots have opened. Many well-known hotel trademarks have been set up in Nha Trang. Many hotels with a large number of rooms have been built like Vinpearl Premium Nha Trang Bay (504 rooms), Vinpearl Golf Land Resort & Villas (420 rooms and 397 villas), Mipec Hotel (300 rooms), Muong Thanh (168 rooms and 700 apartments), etc.

Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa also has more and more entertainment services and commercial centers. Recently, there have been many new services like dolphin circus in Vinpearl Land, sea walking on Hon Tam, salangane island tour on Dong Tam Island, hot mineral water park in I-resort Nha Trang, etc. Shopping malls like Nha Trang Center, Big C, Co.opmart and Maximax along with a lot of stores have served demands of visitors. Beside restaurants inside hotels and tourist spots, there are about 150 restaurants in the city.
Sea entertainment services have been improved. Tours by 5-star boat by Emperor Cruises and Harem 2 have just appeared in Nha Trang recently. Tourist transportation also has been upgraded with new vehicles.
Expanding areas of tourism
One of orientations for the province’s tourism in the coming time is developing infrastructures in Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Area. The province will have policies to encourage investment of shopping areas and entertainment areas here.
“In the tourism development planning of the province, Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Area is of national stature. Investors need carry out projects in progress. Besides, the province’s tourism planning of aims to expand beyond Nha Trang. Projects far from Nha Trang will be given more preferential treatment”, Le Thanh Quang – the Party Central Committee Member, Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Provincial People’s Council Chairman said in a recent meeting with tourist businesses.

The province also has strategies for the development of Van Phong Bay. In near future, Khanh Hoa tourism will develop towards a triangle of Van Phong – Nha Trang – Cam Ranh. Nha Trang will be a nuclear, impulsing the others.
There’s a worry that if the province could attract enough visitors to fill in the large number of hotels, resorts and entertainment spots. In reality, in 2015, 4.1 million visitors came to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa. From now to 2020, the province is expected to receive 5.2 million visitors, including about 1.4 million of international ones. Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa has just put Cam Ranh International Port into operation recently, which will bring more visitors who are sailors to the province. They also will be potential guests for hotels and resorts in Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Area. In addition, some tourist businesses also have set a target to bring 350,000 – 1 million tourists from China to Khanh Hoa in 5 years. Such signs are foundation for businesses to invest more infrastructures for tourism in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa.
