On May 13, the Schurmanns from Brazil arrived at Nha Trang on their Orient Expedition on the sailboat Kat. The Orient Expedition has started since September 21, 2014. It marks the beginning of participation for the third generation of the Schurmann Family after five years and lots of planning. On this third expedition around the earth, the voyagers will travel around 30 thousand miles (equal to almost 50 thousand kilometers), passing through four oceans, around 50 ports, 29 countries, and five continents. For the first time, they arrived in Nha Trang, in Vietnam, approximately 17 thousand kilometers away from Brazil.

Nha Trang Destination Marketing Organisation hosted an exchange where the representatives of Schurmanns showed photographs, tells stories and discussed about their ambitious Orient Expedition.
With 3 expeditions in 31 years, the Schurmanns have crossed 3 oceans and visited 7 continents, produced over 50 episodes for a TV series and films which won awards worldwide, and released 5 books and 3 best-sellers.
