Yang Bay Festival will officially take place in July 9. Coming to Yang Bay Tourist Park right from now, visitors can feel the atmosphere of festival everywhere with new and interesting experiences.
Welcoming visitors at the park’s gate are a funny stilt walker in colorful costume. In the park, the atmosphere is more animated as performance team are practicing music items for the coming festival. Many tourists joined with them in interesting dances. Additionally, the park has been decorated with flags, flower gardens and scenes.
Visitors also can experience special folk games like cock-fighting, pig racing, ostrich riding, tugging, crossbow shooting, stilt walking, etc. Especially, visitors can join a gameshow called “Colors of Yang Bay” for gifts.

The special feature of Yang Bay is the culture of local Raglai people. Accordingly, during the festival, there’s a house on stilts where visitors will be introduced about their customs, ways of living, working tools and musical instruments. Visitors can try to play some kinds of musical instruments like lithophone, Taleploi, etc. and drink Can wine (wine drunk out of a jar through pipes).
| On the occasion Yang Bay Festival, the tourist spot has launched one-day tour. Accordingly, tourists come to Yang Bay in the afternoon and stay one night in rooms of the park. After dinner, tourists will be taken to many activities and cook folk dishes from what they catch. Then, tourists can enjoy food and sing together by a fire in the forest. In the next morning, tourists can join some activities of the tourist park. |
According to Nguyen Phi Truong, deputy director of Yang Bay Tourist Park, Yang Bay Festival this year will be more interesting and new. “We have decorated many sites in the park, set up some beautiful scenes for visitors to take photographs and built some items for visitors’ convenience. Especially, on the occasion of the festival, we’ll launch some new services.”
The highlight of Yang Bay Festival will still be the dance drama “The Legend of Yang Bay Waterfall”, telling about the love story a fairy with a person, then explaining the forming of Yang Bay Waterfall. Especially, there will be Heaven Ruler procession rite, aiming to mix visitors with the festival. Moreover, visitors will be impressed by cuisine in Yang Bay with original folk dishes.
With good preparations and interesting activities, Yang Bay Festival this year promises to bring interesting experiences for tourists.
