Going along Provincial road 9 (Tinh lo 9) from Cam Ranh City to Khanh Son, travelers can enjoy the wild beauty with winding slopes of the road to the mountainous land. Located at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level, Khanh Son has cool climate. The district features a lot of imposing natural landscapes with high mountains, natural waterfalls, springs, cages, etc. One of typical destinations is Ta Gu Waterfall in mountain chain Po Mỏq Cura with the water current running very fast. 30 – 40 meters high, it’s one of highest waterfall in the province. To Hap River is compared as mother’s milk source of Khanh Son District as it runs through all communes and towns of the district.

Khanh Son also has a lot of cultural and historical legends. 71% of the population here are Raglai minority people who have special culture like epics, folk songs, mythologies, legends, etc. Raglai people have unique musical instruments such as gongs, monochord, Chapi and lithophone – a world-famous Vietnamese musical instrument. The district also features a lot of unique festivals. The land sheltered many revolutionary bases in the two resistance wars of the country.
Besides, Khanh Son grows a lot of delicious fruits like durians, rambutans, mangosteens, jackfruits, grapefruits, bananas, etc. There are also handicraft products here.
Up to now, most of visitors come to Khanh Son to discover is wild beauty, fantastic natural landscapes, cool climate and specialties. However, potentials of the district haven’t been developed for tourism. According to Chairman of Khanh Son District People’s Committee Dinh Ngoc Binh, the district is building a tourism development program in the period of 2016 – 2020 and till 2025. To carry out this program, the district will mobilize capitals to form destinations and tours. The district is calling for investment in this tendency.
