Nguyen Ngoc Luong, sales manager of Anex Vietnam said that, “We’ve still maintain taking tourists from the Russian Far East to Nha Trang. Not as much as previous years, but flights from Vladivostk and Khabarovsk still carry Russian tourists to Nha Trang regularly”. From the beginning of this year, Anex Vietnam takes about 15,000 Russian tourists to Vietnam each month, most of whom stay in Nha Trang. From to the end of the year, Anex Vietnam plans to promote attracting tourists from the Russian Far East as from October to March is the winter vacation in this region. “We will intensify tourism promoting activities to this market. We aim to take 19,000 – 20,000 visitors from Russia to Vietnam”, Luong said.

Anex Vietnam has invited tourist businesses from the Russian Far East to survey tourism in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, organized meetings with partners. In addition, Anex Vietnam has expanded its agencies and branches in cities of the Russian Far East.
Other travel companies like Pegas Misr Vietnam, Focus Travel, Sputnik Tour, Anh Duong, etc. also set target to raise the number of visitors from the Russian Far East by 20% - 25% in the year-end time. Therefore, the companies have intensely developed activities to promote Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa tourism to tourists in this region.
To promote more, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism is planning to organize a tourism promoting even in the Russian Far East. 5 travel companies majoring in Russian tourists are expected take part in the event with the provincial Department of Tourism. This will be the first times the travel companies join each other in an event to advertise Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa tourism in the Russian Far East.
In a recent meeting with the provincial Department of Tourism, Vice-chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee also highly appreciated the above idea. “I agree with the plan of the Department of Tourism to promote local tourism in the Russian Far East. To carry out the plan successfully, the department need to discuss with travel companies, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and airlines”, he said.
