Visitors to Nha Trang rise slightly on New Year holiday

During the past New Year holiday, the visitors to Nha Trang only made a slight increase of 2.4% year-on-year.

During the three days, the number of tourists taking island tours through Cau Da Port was around 9,000. Most of the tourists this year were Russian and Chinese.
 
The number of visitors to Vinpearl Land also saw a slight increase. On this occasion, there were some special activities in Vinpearl Land such as New Year gifts for visitors, Flashmob dance, etc.
 
“The visitors to the two islands Hoa Lan Stream Monkey Island also made no increase on this occasion”, said Le Dung Lam, director of Long Phu Tourist Company.

The same situation was seen in other tourist spots like Nhan Tam, Yang Bay, etc. Yang Bay Tourist Park welcomed about 600 vistors each day; Nhan Tam Ecological Tourist Site received about 200. The figures at mineral, mud bath areas were 1,200 – 2,000, equal to normal.
 
Room occupation rate in 3-5 star hotels was about 80%. Some of them were full. Most of the guests were also from Russia and China. Many of the hotels and resorts in Nha Trang like Novotel Nha Trang, Sunrise Nha Trang, Sheraton Nha Trang, Inter Continental Nha Trang, TTC Hotel Premium - Michelia, Muong Thanh Luxury Nha Trang, Nha Trang Center, Vinpearl Luxury Nha Trang, Vinpearl Nha Trang Resort, Vinpearl Nha Trang Bay Resort & Villas, Vinpearl Golf Land Resort & Villas...organized New Year celebrations for guests. Some of them introduced Vietnamese culture to international tourists.
 
Under-2-star hotels had only an average room occupation rate of 50%. It seemed to be no increase in room price during this occasion.
 
According to the provincial Department of Tourism, the whole Khanh Hoa Province received about 36,000 tourists (increasing by 2.4% year-on-year), including 16,000 foreign ones (a 34.2% rise). The province’s total turnover of tourism during the 3-day holiday was VND49.5 billion.  Security and safety for tourists were ensured during the New Year holiday.
