Trips for tourism connection
In first days of 2017, Caravan Nha Trang group gave New Year gifts to ethnic minority people in two mountainous districts Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh. Beside giving gifts to poor people on this occasion, the members studied tourism potentials and resources of the two mountainous districts. “We realized Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh has some places for tourism. We will try to operate tours bringing tourists here”, said Nguyen Quang Thang, director of Tictours International Co., Ltd., a member of Caravan Nha Trang group.
According to I-resort Nha Trang’s managing director Tran Quang Dang, chief of the group, from September, 2015 up to now, the group has attracted 400 members, who are from businesses in Khanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City. 20% of the businesses are in tourism. “The group aims to create a playground to connect businesses to share and support each other in business. In addition, the group also gathers people who like tourism and charity to introduce the image of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa and help needy people”, Quang said.
The group so far has made some trips with the aim of tourism connection. For example, in March 2016, the group traveled to Laos and Cambodia. In the trips, group members worked with some authorities and tourist businesses and set up cooperation with them to take tourists from Laos and Cambodia to Nha Trang and in the reverse direction. In May, 2016, the group continued to connect Nha Trang – Quang Binh with tourist destinations along Ho Chi Minh Road. In December, 2016, the group made a survey on tourist products of Dak Lak. After those trips, many tours between Nha Trang and the localities have been operated. These days, members of the group are planning to connect with Lam Dong with some new tourist destinations like Zoodoo village with Australian style.

Caravan Nha Trang group also cares about charity. In 2016, members of the groups have given a lot of gifts to needy people such as full moon night for children in Son Hiep Commune (Khanh Son District), relief for flooded people in Quang Binh, relief for victims of mountain break in Phuoc Dong and fire in Nhat Tri hillock, Tet cakes for people living in the provincial Social Sponsor Center, and New Year presents for 245 needy households in districts of Dien Khanh, Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son.
Nguyen Van Thanh, permanent vice-chairman of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association assessed, “Caravan Nha Trang group has a lot of activities contributing in marketing for the local tourism. Each trip is not only for travel but for tourism connection or charity as well. The association will facilitate Caravan Nha Trang group in the time to come.”
