Le Van Son, Managing Director of Liberty Central Nha Trang Hotel, said, “During the past time, we have maintained the number of guests in our hotel. The figure of 80% in room occupation has proved our effort. In addition, we ensured service quality as well as launched new services for various demands of tourists.” According to an official of Anex Vietnam, in the first half of 2017, the company brought 19,000 – 20,000 Russian tourists to Nha Trang each month.
In the role of tourism management, the provincial Department of Tourism did well. The department has acted as a counselor for many significant documents like action program for Resolution 08 dated January 6, 2017 by the Politburo on developing tourism to be a key economic sector, tourism development planning of Khanh Hoa till 2015 and view to 2035… The department also has proposed the National Administration of Tourism for a management project to guest houses in the province, appraised 11 3-5 star hotels, etc.

To advertise Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa tourism and expand to more markets, many promotion activities have been done, for instance, joining Hanoi International Travel Fair 2017, making publications about Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa tourism, welcoming a Korean delegation to survey Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa tourism, and encouraging tourist businesses to join many big tourism events. The Tourist Support Center received 10 cases via its hotline and combined with appropriate authorities to solve tourists’ problems timely. Each week, two tourism information centers in Tran Phu Street and Cam Ranh International Airport gave support to about 400 tourists.
According to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, in the second half of the year, the local tourism need keep the growth in all norms and solve shortcomings. As planned, the department will popularize evaluation criteria to tourist spots, and intensify control on out-bound tour organization as well as tourist guides. Besides, the department will set up a project to develop the model of traveling and health care and continue Smart Travel project in the province.
