In I-Resort Nha Trang, many facilities were broken due to the storm. Its staff try to repair them. Tran Dang Quang, manager of I-Resort, said, “The tourist area suffered heavy damage. We try to make good the repair to be able to receive visitors on November 8.”
On November 6, 4-island tours on Nha Trang Bay ran again. However, tourists can visit only 3 islands because the wharf on Mun Island has been broken and hasn’t been repair. “4-island tour stopped in several previous days due to the rough sea. Today, when the tour is re-operated, a lot of tourists take this tour. Our company particularly takes 2,000 tourists to visit Nha Trang Bay today. Diving can’t done because of the turbid sea water”, said Ho Van Tin, director of Nha Trang Tour Co., Ltd..
On Monkey Island and Hoa Lan Stream Island managed by Long Phu Tourist Company, the staff are also cleaning up broken trees, repairing damaged works. “There are a lot of things to do now. We try to finish all to receive visitors again on November 8. Initially, we give priority to visitor groups in signed contracts, then we will receive individual visitors”, Tran Minh Duc, deputy director of Long Phu Tourist Company said.
Pham Minh Nhat, general manager of MerPerle Hon Tam, the resort has encouraged its staff to make good the damage to serve visitors well. On November 6, this tourist area welcomed about 3,000 tourists.
According to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, deputy director of the provincial Department of Tourism, there was no life loss in tourism during the storm, but the damage in facilities and finance of tourist businesses is very big. Right after the storm went, tourist businesses have started making good the damage and stabilizing operation to give good serve to tourists.
