Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism on December 23 gave a welcome to the 2 millionth international visitor to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa in 2017. This was a significant mark to the province’s tourism.
At 5:30, the flight VJ839 by Vietjet Air carrying 180 passengers from Incheon Airport (South Korea) landed Cam Ranh International Airport. The 2 millionth international visitor came to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa on this flight. That was Kim Sun Won, a Korean tourist. “I’m very surprised when I know I’m the 2 millionth visitor to Nha Trang in 2017. This is the first time I travel to Nha Trang. I hope an interesting vacation in Nha Trang”, said Kim Sun Won.

The provincial Department of Tourism gave valuable gifts to the lucky visitors, including 1 voucher for 6 months of free flying on international routes of Vietjet Air, 1 voucher for 2 night stay at Vinpearl Nha Trang Resort, 1 voucher for mud bath at 100 Egg Theme Park, 1 voucher for sea walking by Viet Asian Company and souvenir gift of Amiana Resort.
The 1999999th visitor Lee Jin Heun and the 2000001st one Ha Jin Yu from Korea were given valuable gifts. Other passengers were given some publications and gifts from some tourism businesses in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa.
According to Tran Viet Trung, director of the provincial Department of Tourism, 2 million is a meaningful figure to Khanh Hoa tourism. Growth rate of international visitors in 2017 is 69% over that in 2016. This continues confirming the stable development of the province’s tourism. Khanh Hoa also continues attracting international tourists from many countries as restoring traditional markets like Japan, Korea, Western Europe, etc.
Tran Hoang Linh, director of VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Co. (VietJet Air) in the Central said, “We highly appreciate potentials to exploiting international tourist air routes to Khanh Hoa Province as well as carrying passengers from Khanh Hoa abroad. Therefore, we decide to open direct routes from Cam Ranh to some countries, initially to Korea. Welcoming the 2 millionth international visitors to Khanh Hoa is also a pleasure to VietJet Air as the firm can contribute into the development of the local tourism. In the time to come, VietJet Air will open more international routes to Cam Ranh International Airport.”
