Tourism in Nha Trang busy on Tet 2018

Tourism in Nha Trang was very busy during Tet (lunar new year) festival 2018. The number of visitors and revenue increased sharply.

 

Tourist sites and hotels organized a lot of cultural and arts activities during Tet like unicorn dance, traditional music, calligraphy, folk games, traditional cuisine, etc. Especially, many new activities were organized. For example, Vinpearl Land Nha Trang held tulip festival; Long Phu Tourism Company opened forest biodiversity display site, held bird circus, dog fashion show, etc.; Yang Bay Tourist Park opened a mud bath area, etc. Besides, hotels and tourist sites gave a lot of promotions for visitors on first days of the lunar new year.

 

 

 

Khanh Hoa Province received 192,981 visitors during Tet festival (a 10% increase over last Tet), including 58,608 international ones (24.4% up); revenue during Tet days hit nearly VND430 billion, a 17.5% increase, the provincial Department of Tourism reported.

During Tet holiday this year, the number of visitors to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa made an increase year-on-year. Beside international visitors, there were a large number of domestic ones, from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and other provinces. Room occupation rate at 4-5 star hotels reached 85 – 95%; 3 star hotels: 80 – 90%; 1-2 star hotels: 50 – 55%. Especially, from the 3rd to the 5th of the lunar new year, all 3-5 star hotels were full and 2-star hotels and under were occupied 70 – 80%. 

 

Like previous years, sea and island tours were crowed with tourists this occasion. According to Nguyen Ngoc Khoa, official of Nha Trang Bay Management, the number of visitors taking tours from Nha Trang Port during the past 5 days was 29,000, increasing by 20% year-on-year. Despite the large number of tourists, safety and order were kept. The total number of tourists to Vinpearl Land Nha Trang hit about 70,000; Monkey Island and Hoa Lan Stream Island of Long Phu Tourist Company: 11,500. Mud bath sites also drew a lot of visitors, for example I-Resort: 20,000, Thap Ba Hot Spring: 17,000, 100 Egg Theme Park: 12,000…

 

Room price made a slight increase over that before Tet. Therefore, most of tourists were satisfied tourism services in Nha Trang on Tet days. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, a tourist Quang Ngai, said, “This is the first time I’ve traveled on Tet. Tourism in Nha Trang is attractive. I’m satisfied with services here.”
