Prices of 3-5 star accomodations in the holiday have increased slightly. Under-2-star hotels also have registers higher prices than usual. It’s difficult for independent travellers to book rooms in 3-5 star on this occasion. Big hotels have been full. Truong Quang Chien - marketing agent of Queen Ann Hotel on Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang revealed that the hotel has 284 rooms, 50% of which for independent travellers were booked 1 month ago.
The provincial Department of Tourism estimates the province may receive about 135,000 guests on this holiday (from April 28 to May 1), increasing by 7.41% year-on-year, including 103,000 domestic ones (2.53% up) and 32,000 international ones (26.89% up). Room occupation in 3-5 star hotels is about 90 – 98% and that in under-2-star ones is about 70 – 75%. According to travel companies, there’s no sharp increase in domestic tourists to Nha Trang on this occasion because it’s difficult for independent travelers to book rooms. Travel firms operating tours for Russian and Chinese tourists have booked rooms for their customers till the end of 2018.
