Otherwise, people in Khanh Hoa Province and neighboring provinces also can travel abroad conveniently.
Direct flights impulsing the tourism
According to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, deputy director of the provincial Department of Tourism, in the first half of 2018, Khanh Hoa tourism has made sharp increase in international tourists. The number of visitors from Korea and Malaysia is rising strongly thanks to direct flights to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Seoul (Korea). Direct flights help tourists save their expense and travel to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa more easily. This is also a base helping the tourism department intensify tourism promotion in these countries.
A manager of a resort in Nha Trang also said that direct flights decide 80% to develop tourism.
At present, Khanh Hoa Province has signed with Vietnam Airlines and some other air carriers to open new routes between the province and some countries. Vietjet Air has announced to open air route Cam Ranh - Siem Riep (Cambodia) in September, 2018. Vietnam Airlines is also planning to raise from 4 flights to 7 flights a week on Seoul - Cam Ranh.

Advantageous for locals to travel abroad
In the other hand, direct flights help people in Khanh Hoa travel abroad easily. At present, Vietravel Nha Trang takes 4 – 5 groups of tourists from Nha Trang to Korea and 2 – 3 groups of tourists from Nha Trang to Malaysia. When Vietjet Air launches Cam Ranh - Siem Riep, Vietravel will organize tours to Cambodia from Nha Trang. Similarly, Long Phu Tourist Company offers tours to Korea and Thailand, flying from Lien Khuong Airport, Lam Dong Province. At present, the company is working with partners to take tourists to Japan by direct air route.
“Direct flights bring tourists cheaper tour prices and save them time. Potentials of direct flights from Cam Ranh abroad are big”, said Tran Minh Duc - deputy director of Long Phu Tourist Company, head of Travel Branch of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association.
At present, Khanh Hoa’s tourism is promoting tourism in some traditional markets, including Japan. Some experienced people working in tourism said that, to attract Japanese tourists, travel companies and air carriers need cooperate to take tourists by direct air route. “If there was a direct flight from Japan to Khanh Hoa, visitors could save a half of time and expense in comparison with transit in Ho Chi Minh City”, said sales and marketing manager of a resort in Nha Trang said.
