Bus tickets still available
Nguyen Cong Hai, director of the bus station in the south of Nha Trang, said that the number of passengers is expected to rise by 20% over usual. More buses and trips will be added for the holiday. The station also asked transport companies to declare and post fares.
According to the provincial Department of Transport, surcharge of bus fares on Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang route is allowed not to exceed 30%.

Train tickets mostly sold out
From August 31 to September 3, Sai Gon Railways will add 33 more trains on routes between Sai Gon and Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, and between Nha Trang and Hue with 15,500 more seats, raising the total number of seats for this coming holiday to 48,000 seats. Fares of added trains (SNT3/4, SNT5/6 and SNT8) on Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang route are 10% - 20% lower than main trains on the same route.
According to Le Hong Son, director of Nha Trang Railways, train tickets for the National Day holiday has been put on sale one month ago, therefore most of the tickets have been sold up to now. Only few seats are available now. The holiday this year lasts longer than that last year, so the number of travelers is forecast to rise by 20% year-on-year.
Besides, the train couple NH1/2 on Nha Trang – Hue route is offering discounts on fares from August 14 to 29 and September 4 to December 26. At this time, groups of 10 buying tickets of NH1/2 trains will get discounts as follows: 25% off for seat tickets and 15% off for berth tickets on NH2 train (Hue – Nha Trang) on every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday; 20% off for seat tickets and 15% off for berth tickets on NH2 train on every Thursday and Friday and NH1 train on every Saturday and Sunday.
