Bau is a famous waterfall in Khanh Vinh District. It’s a very imposing four-layer waterfall at a height of 700 - 800 meters above sea level. The waterfall is in a primeval forest with a lot of tree layers, plentiful vegetational cover, orchids, etc. Mau (blood) stream is a special place as the water here is red in the beginning of rainy seasons. At present, motorcyles can go to Bau water and Mau stream because the road to this place is not big enough for cars. Me Trang Joint Stock Company is planning to develop tourism here.

Zi-ong waterfall in Khanh Trung Commune is a beautiful place for tourists, but it’s hard to got it. Chairman of the commune People’s Committee Cao Bo said that the commune expects the district and the province to survey this place to develop tourism.
According to Khanh Vinh District’s authority, the district has a lot of features to develop ecological tourism like Edu waterfall, Zi-on waterfall, Bau waterfall – Mau stream, green tourism models, gardens of a mountainous area associated to traditional values of ethnic minority people, etc. However, only few places in the district serve tourism like Yang Bay Tourist Park, Suoi Lach – Giang Ly, Khanh Hiep hot spring and some others.
However, Khanh Vinh District still hasn’t attracted much investment in tourism. According to the tourism planning till 2020, the district suggests projects, including Khanh Thanh hot spring (20 hectares), Zi-ong waterfall ecological tourist site (50 hectares), Giang Ly tourist site (40 hectares), Khanh Hiep hot spring (20 hectares), etc. Up to now, only Khanh Hiep hot spring and Suoi Lach – Giang Ly have been invested but in small scale.
Tourism is expected to become an important industry of Khanh Vinh District with 2-3 standard accommodations, a tourist destination, an entertainment area, a shopping center, a handicraft village, 3 -5 orchestras for tourism, etc. “To reach above targets, the district needs to do many things, including organizing plannings and tourism projects, investing infrastructures to lead to tourist destinations, building tourist features, connecting tourist destinations, preserving traditional cultures, marketing for tourism, building human resources, etc.”, said Le Van Cuong, manager of the district department of culture and information.
