Khanh Hoa Province received 2.73 million tourists in the first five months of 2019, increasing by 12% year-on-year, according to statistics by the province Department of Tourism. The number of international tourists was 1.46 million, 24.2% up; the figure of domestic tourists was 1.27 million, 0.5% up. Turnover from tourist accomodations was over VND9,500 billion, increasing by 22.4%. Besides, the province welcomed more than 52,000 cruise tourists who visited and did shopping.

Up to this time, the province has about 43,000 rooms. Owning such a large number of rooms, room occupation rate in Nha Trang was only over 50% despite the rise of 12% in tourist number. Specifically, room occupation rate of 3-5 star hotels was 61%; the figure of 1-2 star ones was about 33%.
