Intial results
According to the report of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, after more than 3 years of implementation (from 2016 until now), the cooperation program to link tourism development between the two provinces has achieved certain results. Two tourism departments of the two provinces have organized a mission to exchange experiences in attracting tourism investment, managing accommodation services and travel; coordinating to provide information on training programs to improve level of human resources for tourism. Major events such as Nha Trang Sea Festival, Da Lat Flower Festival and many cultural and tourism events are all informed to businesses of the two provinces; tourism information publications are also exchanged regularly. In the past year, Khanh Hoa travel businesses organized famtrip delegations to survey tourism products of Da Lat for partners from the USA, Australia, Germany, Thailand, etc., which has given good efficiency and impressiveness, contributing to increasing the number of international visitors to Da Lat - Lam Dong.
According to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, at present, travel companies of Khanh Hoa Province and Lam Dong Province are still cooperate closely to develop tourism. Enterprises of the two provinces jointly survey and develop tourist programs of sea and mountains to serve domestic and international visitors. The stops for tourists on National Way 27C connecting Lam Dong Province and Khanh Hoa Province have been invested by businesses with many types of services such as dining, accommodation, souvenirs with local specialities.
With the cooperation in tourism product development, businesses of the two provinces have many promotions, discounts, improved service quality, connecting tours and tourist routes. In particular, businesses have signed business cooperation contracts, cooperating in receiving and serving tourism. In the first nine months of 2019, Khanh Hoa's travel businesses has brought over 80,000 international tourists from Khanh Hoa to Lam Dong, including more than 45,000 visitors staying in accomodations.

More connections needed
Nguyen Thi Nguyen - Director of Lam Dong Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism admitted that linking in tourism of Khanh Hoa Province is not commensurate with the potentials. It still lacks specific and close cooperation programs.
Representing travel businesses in Khanh Hoa Province, Tran Minh Duc - Deputy Director of Long Phu Tourist Joint Stock Company said that in the cooperation between Lam Dong - Khanh Hoa tourism includes creating joint products between the two localities. Currently, both Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong have many routes from Thailand, South Korea and Malaysia; so, the two provinces should link up to promote the international tourist market, increasing the attractiveness for the destination of Nha Trang - Da Lat. Besides, Mr. Duc proposed Lam Dong Province to support businesses in opening charter flights to Lien Khuong Airport.
Regarding cooperation in tourism promotion, Nguyen Van Thanh - Permanent Vice-chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association said that Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong have never organized a joint booth at fairs or a gala to promote common tourism for the two localities. The association will try to do it in the term 2019 - 2024.
