Bamboo Airways has announced its plan to open a direct route between Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa Province and Seoul, South Korea from November 15.
Accordingly, Bamboo Airways plans to operate one round-trip flight every day on the route. The flight will depart from Cam Ranh Airport at 21:40 and arrive at Incheon Airport, South Korea at 4:20 (local time) on the following day. The Incheon – Cam Ranh flight will depart at 5:30 and land at Cam Ranh Airport at 8:20 (local time).
Vietnamese and South Korean carriers have recently boosted flights between big cities in South Korea and Khanh Hoa. Bamboo Airways is the third Vietnamese airline operating Cam Ranh – Incheon flights, after Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air. Earlier, South Korean airlines, namely Korean Air, Jeju Air, Eastar Jet and T’way, had opened direct routes from South Korea to Cam Ranh. Recently, Air Seoul (Asiana Airlines) has also announced its plan to open a new air route to Cam Ranh from December 2019. Bamboo Airways will operate 1 flight a day on the A321 aircraft. The flight will depart from Cam Ranh City at 21:40 and land on Incheon at 4:20 (local time) on the following day. Incheon – Cam Ranh flight will depart at 5:30 (local time) and land on Cam Ranh Airport at 8:20 (local time).
Thanks to such direct flights, the number of tourists from South Korea to Khanh Hoa has increased significantly. Khanh Hoa received 148,620 Korean tourist arrivals in the first 8 months of 2019, a year-on-year increase of 226%, according to Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism. At present, South Korea is the third largest international tourism market in Khanh Hoa, behind China and Russia.
