Workshop on Khanh Hoa tourism structure for sustainable development

Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism opened an international workshop on Khanh Hoa tourism structure for sustainable development on October 17 with the participation of representatives of the Administration of Tourism, leaders of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association and some 200 representatives from tourism businesses in Khanh Hoa.

 

According to the leader of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, tourists to Khanh Hoa have increased sharply. In the first 9 months of 2019, Khanh Hoa received more than 5.6 million tourist arrivals, a 16.4% increase, including 2.8 international visitors, an increase of 42.2%. Tourist arrivals, including 3.6 international tourists, are expected to jump to 7.1 million in Khanh Hoa in 2019. At present, there are 770 dwelling establishments with 49,200 rooms in Khanh Hoa, reaching an estimated turnover of VND20,750 billion in the first 9 months of 2019.

 

 

 

Presentations at the workshop included Khanh Hoa tourism structure for sustainable development - challenges and solutions; Khanh Hoa tourism development strategies till 2030 and vision till 2045 – experience from Phuket (Thailand); smart tourism application solution in Khanh Hoa; tourism support information and tourism development measures; building strategies for Khanh Hoa tourism trademark linked with the target market, etc.
