The Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City held a master class and tasting “Jewels of Italian cuisine” at Champa Island, Nha Trang City, on November 25. Present at the event were Consul General Dante Brandi and more than 100 representatives, including cooks, bartenders, baristas and managers of local restaurants and hotels.
The representative of Italian Consulate General introduced distinctive Italian culinary culture. Besides, Simone Bianchi, an Italian culinary expert and Master Barista Elia Marchetti proceeded with a guided cooking demonstration of some Italian specialties, namely Tortiglioni alla amatriciana, penne broccolo, Italian cocktail, Italian beer, etc.
The event was in the framework of the World Week of Italian Cuisine taking place from November 18 in order to showcase distinctive features of Italian food as well as raise awareness of healthy and balanced diets. The World Week of Italian Cuisine is held in the 4 cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Nha Trang in Vietnam.
