Vietnam Airlines has announced Vietnam Airlines would temporarily suspend all of its flights to South Korea beginning from March 5 over concerns about Covid-19.

According to the national carrier, the flight suspension is to protect the health of laborers. Vietnam Airlines will inform travelers of the plan to resume flights to South Korea as soon as the situation permits.

Vietnam Airlines said its flights from Seoul Incheon and Busan Gimhae airports to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on March 3 and March 4 were rerouted to land on Van Don (Quang Ninh), Can Tho, and Phu Cat (Quy Nhon) airports respectively. All the air crew wore protective gears and airbuses returning from South Korea would be disinfected.
