On May 6, the leader of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association attended an online conference held by Vietnam Tourism Association on tourism recovery measures after COVID-19 pandemic.
At the event, Vietnam Tourism Association assessed that the COVID-19 epidemic has caused serious damage to Vietnam's tourism industry. Therefore, tourism-related businesses and localities are required to jointly implement a tourism stimulus program to restore tourism activities nationwide. The leader of Vietnam Tourism Association asked local tourism agencies to intensify mobilizing member businesses to participate in the tourism stimulus program, and strictly comply with tourism safety criteria to ensure the pandemic prevention and control.
At the conference, Tourism Associations of many localities asked Vietnam Tourism Association to work with airlines to support the tourism stimulus; promote tourism stimulus programs in major regions and tourist centers; organize famtrips to boost tours suitable to the current situation.
Vietnam Tourism Association is cooperating with Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism to implement the tourism stimulus program, focusing on local tourists after COVID-19 epidemic. Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association proposed that Vietnam Tourism Association should provide a link to facilitate localities’ connection and implementation of the tourism stimulus program; and have suggestion to the Government and central ministries and agencies on measures to support tourism businesses to overcome difficulties due to COVID-19, says Hoang Van Vinh, Chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association.
