Tourism in Khanh Hoa Province after the social distancing to prevent COVID-19 has resumed with expected 4,500 tourist arrivals, including 4,200 domestic and 300 international visitors in May, amounting for 0.77% compared with the same period last year, according to Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Vice-Chairperson of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism.
Khanh Hoa tourism sector implemented the tourism promotion program themed “the call of the sea” in May in response to the “Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam destinations” campaign launched by the Administration of Tourism; held a business matching – tourism promotion gala dinner; cooperated with Hanoi Department of Tourism to organize a business matching meeting for tourism stimulus, etc.
Since early 2020, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 650,000 tourist arrivals, including 413,000 international visitors and 237,000 domestic ones, making up 24,1% compared with the same period last year. The total revenue from tourism industry is estimated to reach VND4,519 billion, accounting for 28.3% compared with the same period last year.
